Company Overview

Induplex Incorporated (INDUPLEX or the "Company") was registered with the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on November 17, 1969 and was established primarily as a trading company in pesticides. During the 70s, the company conducted research on a non-metallic mineral known as perlite (the "Mineral") which Induplex successfully developed and marketed locally as a filter aid product. This eventually led to the companys concentration in the production of said product. In 1979 Grefco, Inc. , a US-based company and a leading producer of perlite filter aid worldwide, acquired a 51% equity interest in the company. A supply contract was entered into by the two firms providing Induplex an opportunity to export its products. And penetrate the international frontier. Moreover, being an affiliate, the company became the recipient of several technology transfer programs from Grefco including the assignment of American expatriates to Induplex to assist in its operations. Benefiting greatly from this alliance, Induplex soon ushered its way into recognition, becoming the pioneer and leading producer of high quality perlite filter aid in the Philippines as well as in the Asia-Pacific region. In 1992, Grefco, Inc. Divested in its stakes in the company. The relationship however, has been maintained with a license agreement on using the "Dicalite" brand name. Induplex was registered with the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) on September 1989 as an expanding producer of perlite filter aids on a non-pioneer status and as a new exporter producer of perlite insulating material also on a non-pioneer status. At present, Induplexs perlite products, namely processed ore, filter aid and thermal insulation have gained a substantial market share in bothe the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region. The market for these perlite-based products is continually growing not only in the domestic but also in the international front including non-traditional markets like the Peoples Republic of China and Vietnam.
