FAQ's

Water jet cutting process involves two main steps. Firstly, an ultra-high pressure pump or electric servo pump typically pressurizes the normal tap water pressure level above 50,000 psi (3450 bar) to generate the energy required for cutting. Secondly, the water gathered together through the small holes of the gemstone, forming a strong cutting flow. The water flow moves at a speed up to 2.5 times of the sound speed (depending on how the water pressure is applied).As for abrasive water jet cutting applications, the abrasive is fed into the abrasive mixing chamber (a part of the cutting head body) to produce a coherent and extremely high-energy abrasive concentrated water jet, and can cut any materials. Jet is directly out from the orifice for cutting, the diameter of the typically used orifice is 0.007 "/0.175mm. The water jet is concentrated in a very small area and can easily cut out softer materials.
Parts quality depends on many factors. Firstly, it depends on the accuracy of the water jet machine motion control. We can achieve a position accuracy of 0.02mm (0.001 inches) per axis. However, there are many other factors that will determine the accuracy of the parts produced, such as below, The size and consistency of the incision. The kerf is the removal amount of material during the cutting process. Since the water jet is an erosion process, the time of the water stream staying in one location will affect the removal amount of the material and the width of the kerf.
The cutting speed depends on the following variables: Material type—the harder the material is, the slower for the cutting speed Material Thickness—the thicker the material is, the slower for the cutting speed Water jet pressure—the higher the pressure is, the faster for the cutting speed
Our standard water jet cutting platform has completed 90% assembly when out of factory, on-site commissioning takes approximately 1.5 days, and the commissioning for each pump, hopper, cooler, abrasive removal system will take about extra 0.5 days.

Due to the compact design of our machine, the floor area of our machine is typically 25% less than that of our competitors’ machines.
