Company Overview

faytech has its roots in Germany. Arne Weber, the founding manager of faytech, started to develop and market electronic devices in 2001. Later in 2006, the today called faytech AG started to import touch displays in Germany. Within three years, the German corporation became the leading touch device supplier in Germany in this niche. In 2009, the management team moved to Shenzhen to start its own production facility in China and right after, faytech Tech. Co., Ltd. was founded. In 2010, faytech began to produce touch PCs in its own factory for the first time. Today all offered touch devices are solely designed and manufactured by faytech.

In 2013, a partnership was created and faytech North America was established in order to better support this market. Recently in 2018 with great demands for products in both India and Japan, offices were established in these two markets. Recently by the end of 2018, due to the great demand of faytech products, the second factory was opened in Suining, China.

 

The reference list of well-known brands using faytech Touchscreen Displays and PCs is substantial. For example, faytech’s products are in use by business units of Bechtle, Continental, Honeywell, Unilever, Bosch, Komatsu, Qualcomm and many more.

faytech’s Touchscreen Displays and PCs are used in a wide variety of applications. Customers use the faytech technology for home or building automation and media center applications, factories use the displays for controlling their machines  and retail stores & restaurants use the Touchscreen systems to make their sales processes more efficient.

Quality Control

With strong Research & Development teams in both Germany and China, faytech has the ability to develop and innovate new products, which ensures the products provided are always at the technical forefront. In addition to the SGS guided ISO 9001:2015 certification of both our production plants in China, faytech’s products have certifications in order to comply with quality control on a global basis.

All of our products receive CE, FCC, CCC and RoHS certifications before being put into our product portfolio. Besides these certification a certain amount of products also comply with special automotive and medical directives, such as the E-Mark, IATF 16949 and EN 60601-1 Medical certificates.

Before any of faytech’s products leave the factory the displays are tested several times and deemed to be completely operational and in perfect condition. With the ERP system currently in use, all productions ever made can be tracked back to its individual supplier and components, this ensures a complete overview of the entire supply chain.

Because of the complete quality control chain from material incoming inspection, production and testing, all the way to after-sales analysis, faytech can make reliable statements regarding their own product quality. With strong ERP systems and data gathering tools, all operations are constantly analyzed and the quality is steadily further improved.

FAQ's

All displays have an external power supply. Therefore you have two possibilities: You can use the 12V DC power supply unit or the 230V power supply unit which are included in the scope of delivery.
Ask our support for the Linaro Image for our embedded devices. You will then receive the required image by mail with instructions. Info: Image only available for embedded devices of the 10.1″ and 21.5″ series.
Remove the SSD from the SSD slot and reinsert it. Possibly there was no correct contact.
The Standard Sudo password is “user123”.
Within the OSD menu, you can adjust the image mirrored or upside down. This function is necessary if the monitor is mounted upside down or you are using a rear view camera. The settings can be made in the OSD menu if a video source is connected and you open the OSD menu.
The touch panel is adjusted during the manufacturing process. However, you can always make a new calibration in the touch software under the calibration point.
No, the touch panel is transparent and non-reflective. So you will not notice the additional panel.
If you have problems with the touch, please check if the driver and all cables are installed correctly. Otherwise the most common error is caused by the protective foil on the touch display. Please remove the protective foil to get the best possible use out of the display.
Install the EETI EGalax Touch Tool and perform a calibration.
1. First check whether the power supply is correctly connected and working (green LED on power supply unit). 2. When installing new graphics card drivers, the BIOS may be changed and no boot screen is visible. Wait one to two minutes until Windows is loaded. 3. Connect an external keyboard via USB and check whether the Num-Lock LED of the Keyboard lights up (press Num-Lock). If this lights up, there is usually only an incorrect BIOS. Turn off the computer again, restart it and press “Del” until you are sure that you are in the BIOS. Set the graphics options in the BIOS according to the Chapter BIOS Settings. 4. If none of the above points leads to success, please contact our direct service.
The touch function is supported through the USB-connector. Just install the enclosed software (drivers for all popular operating systems are available for Windows, Linux, Mac). Please be aware that the software only works with a PC! You cannot control a DVD-player, a camera, etc. by connecting it to the touch monitor with the USB-adapter. After the successful driver installation, you control the cursor of the PC with your finger or a pen. One touch is the left mouse button, two times fast is a double click and if you press and hold longer it is the klick of the right mouse button. Additionally, you can optimize the software settings for your own personal usage. With the help of e.g. the Microsoft virtual keyboard (included in the Microsoft operating system) you can steer your PC completely without any additional device.
Frequently, users want to use the 800×480 resolution on the 7″ displays. This is not a standard resolution. For this reason, many graphic cards do not support the resolution by default. With the program power strip from EnTech, you can learn your graphic card this special resolution. You can download the power strip timing parameter for the 800×480 resolution from our website. Yet please keep in mind that there are several graphic cards, special in the field of embedded computer technic, which are not able to support the 800×480 resolution. In this case, you should use the 800×600 resolution.
The main usage of the touch display is together with a touch PC. That means, that you should connect the display via VGA for the picture and via USB for the touch functionality. Furthermore, all monitors have loudspeakers which you can connect through a 3.5mm stereo jack.
Yes, that is possible. Through the software function “Multi Monitor” you can use more touch monitors at the same time. Also, you can decide, on which monitor the cursor is moved when you touch one of the touch monitors.
