What started as a small scale leather accessories unit has now turned into a manufacturing mammoth specializing in all kinds of genuine leather goods. Dugros was established a decade ago by Mr. Ahmad Kamal Khan, a chartered accountant who has been engaged in the leather goods industry since 1990’s. Starting out as an importer himself in the EU, Mr. Ahmad obtained vast experience and knowledge of the leather goods market by living and working there for 10 years and eventually deciding to return back to his country with a dream of setting up a leather goods factory in his hometown Kolkata. Today Dugros is a renowned and trusted name in the industry with a capacity of producing 3,00,000 pcs bags and 1,000,000 pcs accessories annually. We now have an edge over others when it comes to leather goods, as we produce our own finished leather from raw animal hides in our LWG certified tanneries. Having an expertise in various tanning methods of cow, buffalo, goat and sheep skins, our tanneries now have a monthly capacity of producing 7,00,000 sq./ft. of finished leather. With vast experience of the first generation and young energy of the second, Dugros now specializes in producing high quality leather fashion bags and wallets, utility goods and accessories for international clients as well as eminent brands and chain stores.
What sets our products apart is their impeccable craftsmanship and an eye for detail. At Dugros, we believe the highlight of our team is our craftsmen, known as ‘karigars’ in Kolkata, who carry forward a rich family history of artisans. It is their craftsmanship skills, coupled with the use of best-in-class Italian and German machinery, that helps us to deliver high quality products to our customers
Being a professionally managed organization, Dugros now possesses two tanneries and three robust factories in the heart of Leather Industrial Complex in Kolkata, boasting an annual production capacity of 3,00,000 small and big bags and 10,00,000+ wallets and accessories.
