Our burdock root gains the approval by TGAP(Taiwan Good Agriculture Practice) Marks, and join the TAP(Traceable Agriculture Product) system found by Agriculture and Food Agency(AFA) in Taiwan.Kueilai Area is located in southeast of Pingtung City, has alluvial soil from tributary of Gaoping river. The soil is sandy soil, easy to drain the rain water and good for burdocks growth. In Japanese ruled period, one Japanese professor found Kueilai area is the best place to cultivate burdock roots. They tought local residents the planting patterns for burdocks and then start to import the roots to Japan.The farmer, Mr. Ching-Guei Su, has more than 30 years experience in cultivating burdock roots. He is the biggest farmer in planting burdock in Kueilai area and the leader of the 14th Group of Agricultural Vegetable Production and Marketing in Pingtung City. Deriving from the Japanese planting paterns, his burdock roots are famous for high quality and good taste.
