Im looking for products with the following specifications :
Tubular non-insulated mechanical lug with single bolt hole, suitable for M16 stem or bolt for 400mm2 Cu conductor
1. The lugs to be used on the underground copper conductor cables, which have the following characteristics : -
Conductor type : Copper
Nominal area : 400mm2
Standing cond. Diam. : 61/2.96mm
Approx. cond. Diam. : 23.5mm
2. The lugs must be mechanical of the shear bolt type.
3.Other characteristics
3.1 The bore of the lugs, shall be tapered at each end for a distance of 5mm. The outside of the barrels to be chamfered off at ends, for a distance of 6mm.
3.2 The palm faces of the lugs shall be flat, with one single hole.
3.3 The barrels of the lugs to be packed with a suitable abrasive, soft grease (non-toxic or harmful to the skin) and to have their ends sealed. The volume of grease in the barrels to be approx. half the volume of the bore.
3.4 The lugs to be tinned plated and without any inspection hole.
3.5 The lugs to meet the mechanical and electrical copper test requirements of BS 3288 Part 1 and EN 61238 Part 1.
