Dear, We manufacture hydraulic / pneumatic cylinders. Currently, We are importing chromed rods & honed tubes for cylinders manufacturing. Now, we want to develop chrome facility so that this bottleneck in manufacturing of cylinders can be avoided. The rods & honed tubes (substrate) with & without chroming are attached herewith. Dear, the following are our inputs for the chrome plating facility with additional information :
- Rod & Tube Diameter up to 300 mm
- Rod & Tube Length up to 6000 mm
- Rod & Tube weight up to 1800 kg
- Material SS 1045
- Plating Thickness 20-50 microns
- Hardness of rod & Tube require after Plating = 69-71 HRC
- Max. surface area of rod / tube for plating = 424 decimeter square
- (Requirement to chrome on rods & Tubes) / day= 2-4 rods / tubes (requirement of plating / day is little)
- Temperature of chroming bath is to maintain = 53-57 Celsius
- Before chrome plating we would prefer nickel / copper plating
-Area available for chromed facility = 30 feet width & 70 feet length
Dear, above all the inputs requirements for plating facility that we have, Kindly, see them & ask your engineers for flow chart along with technical details of each bath. Also, suggest that what should be safety others special requirements to avoid harmful fumes that result in chrome plating.
