We are looking for a quote for Tooling, Lead Times and for Production Price for a new design that is a waterproof case for an electronic product. I have attached a .STEP file with a new design we have been working on. The STEP file includes multiple parts, but we would like to create only one part with double-shot molding : 1. The Probe Cover, which is the largest piece, we would like to mold in ABS, ABS-PC or PC, most likely PC. This would probably be white color, but we may want other colors for different production batches.2. All other parts are to be made in a flexible elastomeric, silicone or rubber-like soft material, as the second part of the molding process. The purpose of the elastomeric material is for buttons, and for water-proof design.Notes and Questions : a. We do not have experience with double-shot molding, so we would like your engineers to examine our design and let us know if this part can be manufactured as a double-shot.b. If there are changes needed in the design, please let us know what you advise and recommend.c. For the cover, the outside shape is concave, and we need it to be very, very high quality, smooth and glossy and look really good. Please let us know if this can be done. Perhaps we will need to make some changes to hide parting lines?d. We can also divide this plastic into more parts, if that would be better.
