Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm looking for products with the following specifications :
Material : Porcelain colored in the mass with glaze finish
Process : Slip casting
Purpose : This is an art project, consisting of making about 500 flowers of the attached 3D models.
Shape : I provide the casting molds made in Italy for that, for the 5 different flower sizes; I send you the 3D models for your reference only and a picture of a single flower mold for the sake of your understanding.
Molds : 1 mold of 3 flowers of 80mm diameter to produce 31 flowers
1 mold of 5-6 flowers of 66mm diameter to produce 56 flowers
1 mold of 6 flowers of 59mm diameter to produce 80 flowers
1 mold of 6-7 flowers of 44mm diameter to produce 76 flowers
2 mold of 6 flowers 29mm diameter to produce 165 flowers
(If the first production is successful, I intend to make several additional series of 400 flowers, each series with a different colour palette. The quality of colours is quite important to me.)
Casting process : Each flower consists of a heart and petals. Hearts and petals are always in different colours. The idea is to cast each flower in 2 steps : step 1 each heart is poured first in the relevant colour, in a thin layer (about 1mm), while the mold is still open, then the mold is closed, and the petals are slip casted. The result is a single cast with 2 colours of mass (heart and petals).
Colors : I attach a table of colors for each flower with size, color of petals and color of heart, which I precisely defined with their CMYK composition so that you can reproduce them with a printer.
Finish; flowers are glazed (probably with a single firing ).
The gypsum casts I will provide
are as follows :
Size : 80, 66, 59, 44 and 29mm
Packaging : bulk packaging in a sigle box with sufficient protection to avoid broken pieces
Certification : none
I enclose the following documents :
- 3D models of the flowers used to make the moulds.
- Photo of a single flower mould
- Colour sheet
- excel table with the number of flowers by size, petal colour and heart colour.
For me to make my decision, I will need the following :
1- A cost estimate, possibly CIF destination Berlin in Germany.
2- Sampling of the different colors glazed.
3- A time estimate of production
