Hello, we are drilling contractors and I am looking for a solution to our pressure release issues. We currently use mechanical, shear pin type of release valves on our high pressure piston pumps.
These unfortunately are unreliable and difficult to maintain.
I would like to use burst disks held in simple to change holder, typically with a 2” (50mm) opening
The fluid is typically water with “drilling mud” (bentonite clay) added, 10-30 Celsius, ph 9,
Common release pressures are 300, 400, 750, & 1200 psi for different pumps
The release pressures are not an exact requirement, 12-15% of range accuracy is acceptable, reliability and ease of use important.
We would require threaded connections to join to existing pipework, normally BSP.
