Inlet process water temp : 75c (167F).
Required chilled water temp : 15c(59F)
Required temp.delta : 75c-15c=60c
Required chilled water flow rate : 4.5m3/hr(990UK gallons/hr)
Required chilled water pressure : 4 bar
Sizing
Temperature differential=167-59=108F.
BTU/hr calculation
BTU/hr=Gallons per hr x 8.33 x temperature differential
BTU/hr=990 x 8.33 x 108
BTU/hr=890,643
3.Calculation of tons of cooling required

Tons=BTU/hr/12,000
=890,643/12,000
=74.2 tons of cooling

4.Oversize by 20%
Ideal size=1.2 x x tons of cooling
