Dear Sir/Madam,
We need to cover the Singapore Flyer with Hologauze
We will need :
28 sections of pie shaped fabric each 67.444m long (see pdf attached)
Flyer info : (full surface including carriage pods, hence over estimate)
Diameter 150m
Circumference 471.239m
Area 17,671.46 m2
Hologauze fabric weight is 17g per m2
Hence Total weight of the Hologauze fabric is 17,671.46 X 0.017 = 300.415 KG (excluding eyelets and fold-over regions, is this correct)
1. Can we get a cost and a lead-time on the above requirements?
2. Is it possible to provide us information on the tensile strength of the fabric?
3. Also will it allow for the 15cm compression when the section is at the top of the flyer?
4. Can you recommend the fixing options to secure the Hologauze to the spokes and outer rim section?
We are open to having the sections slightly shorter like in this example
Also is it possible to have slits cut into the fabric similar to the link shown above to reduce the wind drag?
