Detergent seems to be a normal dish washer one , as we all use frequently.
Jet-Wash : The containers go through a jet washing cleaning system. These jets spray a cleaning solution of water and a food safe dish washing detergent. This process removes any remaining residual product and contamination from the containers. The temperature of the wash is between 65 oC and 75 oC and residence time is TBD based on machine and equipment specifications (previously 3 minutes).
Ultrasonic cleaning will be used to clean complex closures, hand pumps, trigger heads, small items and items with intricate geometry.
The ultrasonic cleaning process is a multistage wash system for pumps and complex closures. This system is designed to clean all the material and surfaces of intricate parts before sanitizing the parts in rinsing and drying stages. All of the parts, closures, hand pumps, and trigger heads will go through the following process, but will often be referred to as pumps for easier reading.
Ultrasonic Wash : The caps and closures are then placed in an ultrasonic washer. In the Ultrasonic washing tank, the pumps are let sit still for 2.5 minutes to allow the ultrasonic energy to soak into every surface and crevice. After 2.5 minutes the pumps are also actuated in the ultrasonic bath to drain any remaining contamination from the interior of the pumps. The ultrasonic bath is held at 60*c for this wash step with a tap water and cleaning solvent solution. The dilution of this surfactant is still TBD pending validation
