Plywood is a tough wooden board that consist of few layers of wood veneers that are glued and pressed together. The purpose of plywood's cross grain is to reduce expansion and shrinkage of the wood while providing overall consistent strength (by at least 25 - 40 times) to promote stability and balance. The bonded plywood with alternating grains reduces "warping" of the wood. Further chemical coating and treatment do not affect the quality of the wood.
Origin : Malaysia
This wood is made by bonding resin-impregnated paper sheets onto one or both surfaces of specially engineered plywood panels. The overlay provides a smoother finish and allows the plywood to be stripped easily from the concrete and permit multiple reuses of the panels., making it ideal for construction.
Film faced plywood is resistant to different environmental and are irreplaceable when wear-resistant surfaces are needed. High resistance to abrasion of the film and stiffness of plywood make this product popular for decking during concrete construction. Other areas of application of the film faced plywood are bridge building, scaffolding, flooring and sheathing of trucks. Laminated plywood is also used for interior and exterior cladding, packaging, furniture manufacturing and advertisement hoardings.
