A Ketone is a compound in which a Carbonyl Group is attached to two Hydroxyl Groups. According to the different hydrocarbon groups in the molecule, ketone can be divided into Aliphatic Ketone, Cyclic Ketnoe, Aromatic Ketone, Saturated Ketone and Unsaturated Ketone. The carbonyl group of the aromatic ketone is directly connected to the aromatic ring; the carbonyl group embedded in the ring is called intracyclic ketone, such as cyclohexanone. According to the number of carbonyl groups, it can be divided into monoketone, diketone and polyketone. The carbonyl group embedded in the ring is called intracyclic ketone, such as cyclohexanone. In a monoketone, two hydrocarbon groups connected by a carbonyl group are called monoketones, such as acetone (dimethyl ketone).

Its chemical property is active, easy to have nucleophilic addition reaction with Hydrocyanic Acid, Gliya reaction, Hydroxylamine, Alcohol, etc. It can be reduced to alcohol. Use of METHYL PYRROLIDONE

Methylpyrrolidone has high boiling point, low steam pressure, low toxicity, and good solubility. It can be used as solvent for polymer reactions;
