• IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE System)
• The SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate (SIRC) is a Saudi Arabian product conformity program set up by SASO to ensure that the regulated products have been tested and certified to the required IEC standards by an IECEE Certification Body and takes into consideration the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia National Differences.
• Its implementation started in August 2018.

· SASO IECEE Program Covered Products

· As of 01 November 2021, there are 26 products/product categories that are covered by the IECEE program as below lists:

Electric Water Pumps, Mobile Phones, Wireless Mobile Device Chargers, In-Car Mobile Device Chargers, Mobile Phone Batteries, Portable Power Banks, Laptops and Tablets, Smart Bands, Smart Watches, Wireless Headphones, Bluetooth Speakers, Televisions and Monitors, Dishwashers, Laptop Chargers (Power Adapters), Lighting Products, Electronic Smoking Devices, Electronic Pumps With a Capacity of 5hp or LessCoffee Preparation Devices, Electric Oil Fryers, Video Game Devices and Their Accessories, Water Boilers, Electric Cables, Shaving Devices Electric Hair Clippers for humans and animals including battery operated, Circuit Breakers Sub and Mains, Desktop Computers, Charger + Data Transfer Cables for Mobile Phones

• SASO CBs cannot issue SABER Shipment CoC for the SASO IECEE regulated products without a valid SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate, even if they have an existing SABER Product CoC.
• The SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

After submission of all the required documents it takes approximately 3 weeks to 1 month for the certificate to be issued. This can vary if SASO have additional questions about the product or any amendments to the application are required.
