Product Description:

Hydroxyl (OH) terminated silicones fluids is a series of silicone functional fluids with different viscosity and silicone content. They can be used to treat fillers and as anti structural additives in high consistency silicone rubber and silicone room temperature vulcanization (RTV) formulations.

Silicone is an inert and heat-resistant rubber like compound used in sealants, adhesives, architectural, medical and insulation applications. Silicone sealant can prevent water and air penetration, with low thermal conductivity and low toxicity. Hydroxyl terminated (OH) silicone is the main component in the preparation of such silicone adhesives and sealants. Low moisture content and good molecular weight distribution are the characteristics of polymer quality.The low viscosity grade can be used as an active diluent for high viscosity polymers to adjust the overall viscosity of the formula. They have excellent stability and can be used with catalytic amounts of ammonium carbonate to treat reinforcing fillers in-situ.

Curing can be achieved by combining catalysts with all commonly used condensation crosslinking agents (i.e. alkoxysilane, oxime silane, acetoxysilane). It has been found that it is effective to use dibutyltin laurate or stannous octanoate as catalysts for these reactions.

Packaging & Storage

It is packed in 50L plastic bucket or 200L lining plastic iron drum or upon the customer’s request. The product should be stored in cool and dry place. The storage period is 24 months. In case of exceeding that period, the goods still can be used if it is qualified after inspection. Keep away from strong acid and alkali. It should be transported as non-dangerous articles.
