The biodigester starts producing biogas naturely within 3-5days after your first feed. The biogas can be used for cooking / heating / lighting and generating electricity directly after purification by the desulfurization and dehydration device comes with it.

Is cooking on biogas safe?          

Certainly! In fact, the biogas produced in DIY biodigester is actually much safer than your current LPG (liquified petroleum gas) or propane gas tank because it's on a very safe pressure condition.
