Pure
cotton fabric
is a textile made of cotton as raw material, which is
interwoven with warp and weft yarns vertically and
horizontally through a loom. It has the
characteristics of moisture absorption, moisture
retention, heat resistance, alkali resistance, and
hygiene. Pure cotton fabrics are easy to shrink. The
shrinkage rate of pure cotton clothing is 2% to 5%,
except for special processing or washing treatment.
At present, according to the actual source of
processed cotton, it is divided into virgin cotton
fabric and recycled cotton fabric. Cotton is one of
the most important crops in the world. Its large
output and low production cost make cotton products
relatively cheap. Cotton fiber can be made into
fabrics of various specifications, from light and
transparent voile to thick canvas and thick
velveteen, suitable for making all kinds of clothes,
furniture cloth and industrial cloth. Cotton fabric
is strong and wear-resistant and can be washed and
ironed at high temperature. Cotton fabric is
comfortable to wear because of its rapid moisture
absorption and dehumidification. If good warmth is
required, the surface of the fabric can be raised by
brushing. Through other finishing processes, the
cotton fabric can also be stain-proof, waterproof,
and mildew-proof; improve the wrinkle resistance of
the fabric, so that the cotton fabric is less hot or
even does not need ironing; reduce the shrinkage of
the fabric during washing, so that the shrinkage rate
does not exceed 1%
