Fish, which generally have a length of up to 40 cm,
are flattened, and are silvery white. Commonly called the Ribbon
Fish because of its thin shape. The Ribbon Fish that is usually
caught is divided into 2 types, namely the white layur fish
(largehead hairtail) and the yellow Ribbon Fish. Fish is available
in frozen conditions and freezing is carried out on land using
airblasts.

All products are caught using a
fishing rod. For AAA quality, it is the best quality without any
defects in the fish. AA is the second quality with few flaws due to
the bite of other layered fish. PPP is the lowest quality of layur
fish. PP is usually due to a ruptured stomach or a defect in the
fish's stomach. The condition of the fish is still quite good and
suitable for consumption.
