FAQ's

In ERIC, we basically offer three main different services: chartering, stevedoring, ship agency Our Chartering division works closely with ship owners to charter(rent) vessels for our customer’s shipments (both part and full cargo) by checking and planning all technical, legal and commercial aspects. In doing so, we are able to help to minimize any risk surrounding the transportation of our customer’s consignments, by supplying them with transport that is fully compliant with international standards. We do chartering anywhere in the world. In stevedoring, we handle the cargo operations within the port of Damietta (the loading and unloading of cargo) With the ship agency, we take full responsibility on the ships that come from anywhere in the world and Egypt. We act as your local representative to arrange for vessel arrivals and departures.
We use different types of equipment in the stevedoring operations, from conveyor belt, forklift, cranes, shore cranes, wheel loaders, telehandlers, control hydraulic grabs, harbor hopper equipment, to tractors, port wired shipping plans.
Mobile cranes: with a lifting capacity ranges from 35 to 250 tons Forklift: with a lifting capacity ranges from 2.5 to 25 tons Conveyors: where its length ranges from 32 to 54 M Control Hydraulic Grab: capacity ranges from 5 to 14 M³ controlled by a remote control Hoppers: loading from grabs directly to trucks with size 5.5 X 5.5M Port Wired Shipping Plans: cargo capacity up to 30 tons
Bulk cargo includes building materials such as gypsum, sand, gravel and cement, and also raw materials such as road salt, clinker, Urea, ore or slag. Likewise, foodstuffs such as grain, salt, sugar, flour or coffee. Various pellets, granules, chips, feedstuffs and other powdery goods.
All sorts of break bulk & general cargo, such as goods on pallets, big bags, bundles, pre-sling cargoes, open top containers, flat tracks, cases, boxes, crates, timber, lumber, drums, non-ferrous metals, Ferro alloys, as well as steel loads such as wire rods, steel piles, steel coils, slabs, ingots and sheets.
If it is a big a vessel, on average us 18,000 tons for steel products.
From the vessel to the warehouse inside the port, it is 40 tons per truck on average, so you will need about 15 trucks per day to carry out 18,000 tons of grain per day (we work 24 hours at Damietta port) each trip won’t be more than 30 to 40 minutes for each truck.
