Our process steps are :
- Flame treat glass (using an LPG flame)
- Place glass in semi automatic screen print machine
- place glass into UV curing unit (200w/cm mercury lamp)
Our current ink is a 2 part ink from Marabu
They are organic polymers that are mixed with a hardener.
The silane mixture I am looking for is one I can use as a primer/pre treatment for the glass.
This would hopefully be done during the “flaming process”
It’s purpose is to create a thin film to improve adhesion between the ink and the glass.
Since our production is quite fast paced any chemical that requires “drying” or “rubbing” onto the glass is too slow for our production line.
I am looking for something similar to “Pyrosil” which is a brand of pretreatment that is mixed with the LPG has during the flaming.
Here is an example of the treatment : youtu.be/IanM51pjh7M
