Northern Silicon AS Is a fully norvegian- Italian private company that has invested in recent years more than 10 million euro in developing solar grade silicon production by a new direct metallurgical route technology .
We have design and installed in Italy the largest pilot plant in the world , to produce solar silicon by direct metallurgical route after a refining process .
Our project consist in DEMO and Industrial Phase.
Our pilot- plant ( DEMO Phase) production capacity is about 700 tons per year.
Our current project is to move from a phase of R & D and invest in a different European county on industrial plant production of 10.000 TPY of Pure Silicon.
We are selecting future suppliers for pure carbon black /carbon fron gas , as reducing agent for our SAF Submerged Arc Furnace.
We hope that you have reliable carbon black ( only from gas) for our process.
Some information :
1) Carbon Black specification
1.1 Carbon Black we need , its not for rubber, refractories, high Temperature Insulation ,plastics, concrete, carbon Composites, ceramic application, but for Metallurgy application as reducing agent in SAF Submerged Arc Furnace.
1.2 Carbon Black would be very reactive carbon in comparison with traditional reducing agent as charcoal, coal , coke pet, ect , in crystalline form , carbon particles with a crystalline form and good conductivity.
1.3 About purity, its very important to have low ash, low Boron , low Phosphorus and metals .
1.4 Packaging : 850-1000 Kg / big bags , pallets 110x110
1.5 OTHER IMPORTANT :
Quality minimum 4N-5 N, low B and P ( less 0,5ppmw B and less 0,5 P).
Estimate consumption : Demonstration phase 800-1000 tpy , Industrial Phase about 10.000 tpy
Packing : BB-big bags
Size : powder, but better if pellets
Delivery port : Gotherburg ( Svezia) or Rotterdam ( Holland)
