We seek a TSHD dredge, preferably to charter long term for uplifting the worlds largest magnetite iron sand resource in the coastal waters of the west coast of the North island of New Zealand. The water depth is approximately 30 metres and the iron sand extends in some places down to 300 metres below the seabed as proven by oil well drilling. Alternatively a joint venture whereby the dredge owner will receive 50%of the billions of dollars of profits for the 40 year term of the renewable mining permits. Unlike Western Australia the worlds largest iron ore mining area, where the iron ore is cut out of solid rock at 4 times the cost of uplifting sand, and taxes more than double the cost, the NZ government only takes a 1% royalty and uplifting sand is a quarter the cost of iron ore from solid rock in Pilbara mines.
